The District 3 minor league all-star championship games were held last Thursday in Battle Mountain. Ruby Mountain (Spring Creek) won the first game of the series in the morning and the two teams played for nearly four hours on Thursday night. Ruby Mountain jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the first inning, only to see Battle Mountain score seven times in the second inning. The lead switched hands a number of times but Ruby Mountain rallied for five runs in the sixth inning to beat Battle Mountain 24-23.
