Obituary: Helen Hernandez Robles

Helen Hernandez Robles, 76, of Battle Mountain passed away at her daughter’s home in Winnemucca surrounded by her loving family.

Helen was born on May 8, 1942 in Salinas, CA to Alfonso and Guadalupe Hernandez. She was married to her loving husband Joaquin for 54 years.

Her family to Midland, CA from 1964 to 1966 Then to Blythe, CA until 1975, Eagle Mountain, CA until 1983 and Lake Tamarisk, CA until 1988.

They made their home in Battle Mountain in 1988 and lived there until her death. Helen graduated from Palo Verde High School in 1959 and went on to attend business school studying bookkeeping. She used her knowledge as a bookkeeper for Robinson Farms.

Helen was primarily a homemaker and mother to her family. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, bingo, gaming and most of all collecting anything frogs.

She is survived by her husband Joaquin M. Robles; her children Rene (Jake) Navar of Battle Mountain, Monica Edens of Winnemucca, Kassandra (Trinidad) Robles of Battle Mountain, Jaclyn (Anthony) Hanson of South Dakota, and Val (Eric) Robles; grandchildren Rebecca, Monique, Christina, McKenna, Seleste, Joaquin, Isabelle, Jaylynn, Adriana, Justyne and Allia; great grandchildren Alexa, Antonio, Oliv and Jack III ;brothers Alfonso (Sonny) Hernandez Jr, Manuel (Berthel) Hernandez; sisters Rosie Castro, Evelyn (Bill) Elms, Carmen Hernandez, Dolores (Enrique) Estrada, Catherine Valenzuela, Beverly (Ramon) Cota and Mary Margaret Hernandez.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents Alfonso and Guadalupe Hernandez,;sister Lillian Hernandez and grandson Kenneth (Papason) Edens.

Services for Helen will be held on Wednesday June 6, 2018 in Battle Mountain at Saint John Bosco Catholic Church with viewing at 1:00 pm Rosary to 2:00 pm and Mass at 230 pm.
