Obituary: Kenneth L. Torrance

On Monday May 21st, 2018 - Kenneth L. Torrance, husband, father, brother and local Locksmith passed away following complications from a severe stroke. Ken was surrounded by family at the time of his passing. Ken was born on June 27, 1953 in Pasadena, California to James and Alice Torrance.

Ken has served the small community of Winnemucca as the owner/operator of S & T Lock & Key. He was the local locksmith for over 24 years. He also served on the Paradise Hills Volunteer Fire Dept as a firefighter and for a time as Assistant Chief, and was a member of the Northern Nevada Racing Association when it was founded.

In his spare time he loved working on cars, playing his flute, saxophone, or tinkering with his locksmithing. His next project was to convert a 54 Chevy Wagon into a gasser to race at the drag strip.

Ken is survived by his wife of 40 years Margie Torrance; Son Loren Torrance and Daughter Amelia Torrance (Timothy Asher) and Brother Robert Torrance of Arizona.

Ken was preceded in death by his father James Torrance; mother Alice Torrance, Brother James Torrance Jr. as well as many Aunts and Uncles.

A Pot Luck Celebration of Life will be held on June 10th, 2018 at 2 pm at Vesco Park across from HGH for anyone who knew him who wishes to pay their respects.
