Peggy Sue Hamby pleaded guilty to driving under the influence first offense. She was sentenced to 30 days jail with 28 days stayed on the condition she serve 2 days within the next 30 days. She was ordered to pay a fine of $400 + $125 AA + $60 forensic fee + $100 special DUI fee.
She was ordered to complete a victim impact panel and DUI school. She was ordered to no alcohol and no controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician.
Other charges of wireless communications prohibited while driving and fail to drive within marked lanes were dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office as part of the plea agreement.
July 17
Roger Lee Everhart pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of driving while license is suspended, canceled or revoked and restrictions on tinting of a windshield or side rear window. For count 1 he was ordered to pay a fine of $250 + $105 AA and count 2 he was ordered to pay a fine of $100 + $95 AA.
The defendant was admonished on driving with a suspended or revoked license and the court ruled that count 2 will run concurrent with count 1.
July 17
Reagan Rae Fransway aka Reagan Rae Orloff pleaded guilty to driving under the influence, second offense. She also pleaded no contest to resisting a public officer. She was sentenced to 60 days jail with 50 days stayed for a period of 2 years, stayed jail time on the condition she serve 10 days, she was given credit for 6 days time served.
The remaining four days of jail time aws converted to 105 hours of community service. She was ordered to complete a victim impact panel and DUI school. She was ordered to continue all counseling outlined by the rural clinic including substance abuse counseling and anger management counseling. She was ordered to no alcohol, no controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician, no further criminal activity other than minor traffic violations. Count 2 will run concurrent with count 1. Pursuant to plea negotiations, the DA’s office made a motion to dismiss other charges including requirements for turning on highway, open container and driving in excess of posted speed zone.
July 18
Brodrick Anthony Washington pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence, first offense. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail with 38 days stayed for a period of one year, stayed jail time on the condition he serve 2 days. He was given credit for one day served and the remaining 24 hours will be converted to community service. He was ordered to pay a fine of $400 + $125 AA + $60 forensic fee + $100 special DUI fee.
He was ordered to complete a victim impact panel and DUI school and was given permission to complete them online. A separate charge of basic speed will run concurrent with the DUI penalties. He was also ordered to no alcohol, no controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician, no further criminal activity other than minor traffic violations.
In a separate case, a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance against Brodrick Anthony Washington was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office.
Kendrick Bernal Sam pleaded no contest to two counts of battery and one count of disorderly conduct. He was ordered to 10 days in jail for each count of battery with credit for time served and an additional 10 days jail for the disorderly conduct charge with credit for time served.
In a review hearing, the DA’s office made a motion to dismiss a charge against Ralph Fredrick Virgil of operating a motor vehicle without having evidence of current insurance located therein. He previously pleaded guilty to with previous charges of operating a motor vehicle while driver’s license is cancelled, suspended or revoked; fail to yield; safety belt required. For the charges Virgil previously pleaded guilty to, he was ordered to pay the following: for count 1 (operating a motor vehicle while driver’s license cancelled, suspended or revoked) a fine of $250 + $105 AA, count 2 (fail to yield) a fine of $100 + $95 AA, count 4 (safety belt required) a fine of $25 + $50 AA. He was given credit for time served of 6 days.
July 19
Angel Hernandez Jr. pleaded guilty to injury to or destruction of property. He was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $140. He was also ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 + $140 AA + $250 public defender fee. He was given credit for 9 days time served, leaving a balance of $490, suspended on the condition the defendant pay restitution. The DA’s office made a motion to dismiss a domestic battery charge as part of the plea negotiations.
Brandon Allen Peavy pleaded guilty to an amended misdemeanor charge of possessing drugs which may not be introduced into interstate commerce, modified from an original charge of felony possession of a controlled substance. He was sentenced to 90 days in the Humboldt County jail and was ordered to turn himself in by August 3, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. The DA’s office made a motion to dismiss a separate charge of being under the influence of a controlled substance as part of the plea negotiations.

He was sentenced to 30 days jail with 28 days stayed for a period of two years, stayed jail time on the condition he serve two days, he was given credit for two days time served. He is to pay a fine of $400 + $125 AA + $60 forensic fee + $100 special DUI fee. The fines and fees were suspended for 120 days, he was advised to contact the court after he is released from jail from his other court case. He was ordered to complete a victim impact panel and DUI school. He was ordered to no alcohol, no controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician, no further criminal activity other than minor traffic violations. The DA’s office made a motion to dismiss other charges of following too closely and safety belt required as part of the plea negotiations.

A misdemeanor charge of open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle against Jesse Howard was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office pursuant to prior plea negotiations.
Joshua T. Odell failed to appear for a pre-trial conference regarding a misdemeanor charge of driving without a valid license. His cash bail was forfeited.
Wesley David Strickler pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, minor in possession or consumption of an alcoholic beverage. Pursuant to the plea negotiations, the defendant will make monthly payments on the charges. Sentence not available in court memo.
