John D. Vierra “J.D.”
J.D. Vierra made his home in Battle Mountain for the past 28 years.
He left us July 1st, 2018, and is now resting with the lord. J.D. was born to Frederick & Marion Vierra in Denver, CO on January 30th, 1936.
He was raised in Tulsa, OK by his mother. He joined the Marines in 1955 and made a 21 year career.
He had several different jobs, but bartending was his passion. He loved to talk to people, tell jokes, and make their day happier.
He was active in the VFW.
J.D. was survived by his wife, Wanda of 42 years, daughters Mickie Evans (Terry), Leigh Rohan, Marion Shaw, sons David Vierra, Jacob Vierra (Nichole), and numerous granddaughters and grandsons and (2) great grandsons.
Graveside services will be held on August 4th at 10:00 AM at the Battle Mountain Cemetery.
