July 3

Misdemeanor charges of no proof of insurance and driving with a suspended or revoked license against Scott Albert Nielsen were dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office.



July 5

Don Curtis Lanning pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of harassment. He was sentenced to 4 days in jail with credit for 4 days time served.



Cecil Horn pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of drawing a deadly weapon in a threatening manner. He was ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 + $140 AA. He was given credit for 7 days jail time served leaving a balance of $440. The court suspended the balance for 6 months on the conditions of no alcohol and no further like violations.



July 6

Bela Lajos Svoboda Jr. pleaded guilty to driving under the influence first offense, requirements for turning on highway and vehicle entering highway from private way.

He was sentenced to 30 days jail with 28 days stayed for a period of two years, stayed jail time on the condition he serve 2 days.

He was given credit for 12 hours time served, with the remaining 36 hours converted to community service.

He was ordered to pay a fine of $400 + $125 AA + $60 forensic fee + $100 special DUI fee. The defendant was ordered to complete DUI school and a victim impact panel. The defendant was ordered to no alcohol, no controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician and no further criminal activity other than minor traffic violations.



July 9

Alberto Benitez-Moran pleaded guilty to obstructing a public officer. He was ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 + $140 AA. Other charges of fail to yield to emergency vehicle and driving without a valid license were dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office as part of the plea agreement.



July 10

A misdemeanor charge of disturbing the peace against Raymond Beck was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office.



A misdemeanor charge of driving with a suspended or revoked license against Robert H. Gogert was dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office.
