In the case of Benjamin Phillips Petras, charged with driving without a valid license and suspended plates, Petras pleaded guilty and was fined $100 + $95 AA for driving without a valid license. For suspended plates fined $100 + $95 AA for a total of $390. The defendant was giving credit for four days time served. Bail bond exonerated.
In the case of Alexander Marcos Padilla, charged with malicious destruction of property, defendant pleaded guilty and was fined $1,000 + $140 AA. He was given credit for five days time served, leaving a balance of $640. The court suspended $500 for six months on the condition that he have no new violations. The defendant requested to have all his fines and fees rolled together with his first payment in 30 days.

The defendant was given four days credit for jail time, leaving a balance of $225. The defendant requested to have all his fines and fees rolled up together with his first payment in 30 days.

Carlos Fernando Duarte pleaded no contest to domestic battery and was fined $200 + $105 AA + $35 special assessment fee; credit for time served; 90 days jail with 60 days stayed for a period of one year. He is to serve 25 days; he was given credit for time served. 48 hours community service; he was given 48 hours credit for time served; 26 sessions of batterer’s intervention counseling with monthly reports to the court. The defendant was also ordered to no alcohol, no controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician. No further criminal activity other than minor traffic violations.
The order to surrender firearms was read and signed; defendant was also admonished that pursuant to NRS 176.337 possession, shipment, transportation or receipt of firearm or ammunition may constitute a felony.
Bruce Manzo Hernandez pleaded no contest to DUI and was sentenced to 30 days jail with 28 days stayed for a period of two years; stayed jail time on the condition he serve two days; defendant was given credit for 12 hours time served. He is to serve the remaining 36 hours within the next 30 days. He is to pay a fine totaling $685 with $200 monthly. DUI School to be completed by Sept. 24.

For DUI, Joshua Henry Yost pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 30 days jail with 28 days stayed for a period of one year; stayed jail time on the condition he serve two days. As an alternative to the jail time the defendant can do 48 hours of community service or four days house arrest. Fined a total of $685 to be paid by July 30; DUI School to be completed by Sept. 22. The breath interlock was waived. Defendant was also ordered to no alcohol, no controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician. No further criminal activity other than minor traffic violations. A review hearing is set for Oct. 1 at 1:15 p.m. Bail bond was exonerated.

In the case of Ariana Sue Mentaberry, the county made motion to dismiss resist/obstruct/delay and failure to use due care. The court grated the motion and those counts were dismissed in open court. Bail bond exonerated.
