Winnemucca Little League 12-year-old all-stars travelled to Dayton last weekend to compete in the District 3 Tournament.
On Saturday, the boys took on Elko and lost 11-6.
Ruby Mountain beat White Pine, sending them to meet Winnemucca in the loser’s bracket.
In other Saturday contests, Silverada defeated Walker River and High Desert defeated Hawthorne.
In Sunday’s game, White Pine knocked Winnemucca out of the tournament with a narrow 8-7 victory.
Other Sunday action saw Elko defeat Ruby Mountain, Silverada defeated High Desert, and Walker River defeated Hawthorne to end their season.
Elko will take on Silverada on Wednesday at 9 a.m. In the loser’s bracket, High Desert plays White Pine on Monday and Walker River plays Ruby Mountain on Monday also.
