On Friday night, racing cars of all classes tore up the Winnemucca Regional Raceway at the 1/3 mile oval dirt track on Jungo Road.

The grandstands of 300 plus seats were packed with fans watching their favorite drivers and looking to see who would cross the finish line first and bring home the prizes.

The different classes of cars competing included IMCA Sport Modified, IMCA Modified, Mini-modified, Pro Stock, Hobby Stock, Dwarf Car and Outlaw Cart.

The next race on the oval dirt track will be held on Friday, July 20 for all classes.

The pits in Winnemucca can handle over 100 cars and the pit grandstands have over 50 seats. The price of admission at the races is as follows: 13-18 $5, 19-64 $8, 65 and up $5, 12 and under get in free with a paid adult, while military veterans and active duty military get in free.

Season passes and pit passes are available, and a concessions stand and refreshments are located near the grandstands.
