Obituary: Montine Elizabeth Cable

Montine Elizabeth Cable, 89, of Battle Mountain, Nevada was called to Heaven on January 11, 2018 from Battle Mountain General Long Term Care. 

Montine was born September 22, 1928 in the town of Plumerville, Arkansas to Claude Killus and Florine Milam Bean. 

She achieved the goal of graduating high school and after she moved to places like Brinkley, Arkansas; Buena Vista, Colorado; Grand Junction, Colorado and she finally settled in the small town of Battle Mountain, Nevada. 

She worked as an operator for South West Bell Telephone and was Head Teller while she worked for the Buena Vista Bank and Trust. 

Montine married Joseph G. Lucas then Lionel T. Cable. She was a member of the Christian faith and took great pride and joy within it. She was also a member of a couple of other clubs. She was the President of Delph Club, a Boy Scout Den Mother and a PTA President. 

She enjoyed many things in life especially her love of sewing and making clothes for her kids and herself. 

Montine is survived by her children: Jerald Lee Lucas (Sylvia) and James Guy Lucas (Kim). Grandchildren: Chad Lucas, Sabrena (Lucas) Lockman, Ted Dee Lucas and Houston Lucas. Great-Grandchildren: Haylee Ugalde, Ashten Cole, Rachelle Cole, Wrangler Lockman, Jayzen Lucas, Cash Lucas and Marisa Lucas. Great- Great- Grandson: Gerardo Rodriquez Jr. Stepdaughter: Cindy Cable, Stepson: Steve Cable and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her mother Florine Milam Bean, father Claude Killus Bean, sisters Faye, Nancy and Margaret, husbands Joseph G. Lucas and Lionel T. Cable.
