Brian “Jimmy” Green passed away on January 18, 2018 at the age of 47 after a hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer. He was surrounded by loved ones in the comfort of his home in Battle Mountain, NV. Brian “Jimmy” was born on July 22nd in Battle Mountain, NV to his parents Marlin and Patricia Green. He attended high school in Reno, NV. Brian “Jimmy” moved back to Battle Mountain in 1988 where he started working in the mines for Battle Mountain Gold. Brian “Jimmy” married Paula Hemp in 1992 and together had 2 wonderful children: Justin and Alec.
Brian “Jimmy” Green was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He loved anything to do with his children and supported them in all they did. He was a volunteer Little League coach for several years. He made sure his family spent almost every weekend together hunting, snowmobiling, motocross racing and boating. His other family was his SMD family where he developed many friendships during his long employment with the company. Brian “Jimmy” is survived by his wife Paula, children Justin and Alec, grandmother Darlene Moore, parents Marlin and Patricia Green, sister Jenny (Brian) Ward, sister Dorie Kindness, aunt Carla Green, uncle Lee Green, uncle Dave (Janet) Winberry, aunt Nancy (Richard) Hernandez, parents in law Paul and Sharon Hemp, brother in law Steve Hemp, nieces and nephews Riley and Wyatt Ward, Bryana Pordon and Bailey Kindness, Anthony and Halle Hemp.
A celebration of life will take place Saturday, January 27th, 2018 at 2:00pm at the Battle Mountain Civic Center in Battle Mountain, NV. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Brian’s life.
