Quint Bell won the 152-pound championship with a pin over White Pine’s Eric Pickens. He was the lone champion for the Buckaroos.

Six other Lowry wrestlers reached the finals and finished second. That group included Taylor Corak (113), Matthew Souza (126), Bryan Day (138), Ryan Johnson (160), Cade Billingsley (182) and Anthony Peterson (195).

Isaac Mori (106), Cade Bell (132) and AJ Gonzalez (145) placed third.

Lowry is back in Fernley this weekend for the Northern 3A Duals. The Buckaroos will wrestle each team in the league once. The duals will be spread out over two days.

The duals determine the seeding for the Northern 3A Regional Championships to be held Feb. 2-3 in Spring Creek. The individual wrestlers in each weight class will be seeded from top to bottom based on results from the Fernley duals.

The top three finishers in each weight class advance to the NIAA State Championships at the Orleans Arena on Friday, Feb. 9, in Las Vegas.
