Obituary: Joseph Clayton Ashlock

Joseph Clayton Ashlock passed away January 3, 2018. 

He was born January 25, 1930 to Charles and Adella Ashlock, in Olympia, WA. He lived with his son, daughter-in-law and their children in Winnemucca, NV. 

Survivors include his wife of 39 years Connie Ashlock of Vancouver, WA, a son Joseph (Tammy) Ashlock of Winnemucca, NV, a daughter Joylynn Mahar of Olympia, WA, 2 stepchildren ; Linda Coop of Vancouver, WA and Dick Owen of Boulder City, NV. He had 18 grandchildren and over 20 great grandchildren. 

Preceding him in death were his parents Charles and Adella Ashlock of Little Rock, WA, 5 brothers; Frank Ashlock, Don Ashlock, Chuck Ashlock, Ross Ashlock all of Cave Springs, Arkansas and Dave Ashlock of Raymond, WA, 2 sisters; Stella Froeschile of Turnwater, WA and Pat Anderson of California, 2 daughters; Debbie Shaw of Georgia and Linda Jo. 

Joe served in the army during the Korean War. He ran heavy equipment most all of his life. He bought and was owner of Columbia Granite Quarry until 2001. 

Joe was the kindest, most generous man. He was always helping someone. He loved children and animals. He always had a great story to tell. 

He lived a full life and never complained. He was always a gentlemen. He will be missed greatly by his family.
