The Lowry High School girls basketball team closed out the winter sports season this past weekend at the NIAA State Basketball Championships in Reno. The Lady Bucks were competing in their fifth consecutive state tournament and 13th since 2002. Lowry beat Mojave 73-38 on Friday afternoon but lost the state championship to Churchill County 60-45 on Saturday. The Lady Bucks had plenty of support from the cheerleaders, dance team, band and a large crowd that made its way to Reno despite bad weather conditions.
