Nancy L. Montoya Smartt, age 57, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Feb. 3, 2018 in Reno, Nevada.
Nancy is survived by husband Roland Smartt of Winnemucca; sisters Evelyn (Danny) Clark of Elko, Ruby (Hooker) Neilson of Wendover; brother Errol (Gayla) Montoya of Wells, Nevada; numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews; children Jason (Shoshana) Uribe of Berkley, CA Fernand Uribe of Las Vegas, Jose (Lucia) Acevedo of Las Vegas, Julia (Rudy) Granada, Justin Smartt of Winnemucca, Nevada.
Nancy was preceded by her parents, Elijio Montoya and Lillian Montoya-Walker and brothers Floyd Montoya and Jerry Montoya of Wendover, Utah.
Nancy is survived by her cherished grandchildren; Benjamin and Azu Uribe, Alonzo Uribe, Pedro, Daisy Lucia, Jovi Acevedo, Alyssa Irene Pena, Alyx, Nycko Granada, Alejandro, Jasmine, Jayden Smartt.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren, riding her four wheelers, camping, fishing and cooking for the whole family.
There will be a memorial in Nancy’s memory on April 14, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the Word of Light Church here in Winnemucca, Nevada.
