The Lowry High School girls basketball team and the McDermitt High School girls and boys basketball teams took part in regional tournaments last week. The Lowry girls beat Spring Creek 53-49 in the Northern 3A semifinals but lost 66-40 to Churchill County in the championship. The Lady Bucks are in Reno this weekend to play in the state championships. The McDermitt girls beat Sierra Lutheran 59-18 in round one. They lost 70-67 in double overtime to Eureka in the Northern 1A semifinals. The McDermitt boys beat Sierra Lutheran 63-51 in round one and lost 85-51 to Mineral County in the semifinals.
