The Humboldt County rural basketball teams made a stop in Denio on Saturday, Feb. 3, and played in front of a packed gym. In Division I (6,7,8 grades) action. McDermitt defeated Kings River 26-8. Denio/Fields gave its fans something to cheer about, beating Paradise Valley 30-20. In Division 2 (3,4,5 grades) Orovada knocked off Denio/Fields 29-8, Kings River came back in the second half to beat McDermitt 23-20 and McDermitt defeated Paradise Valley 19-18 in a nailbiter.
