RENO — University of Nevada senior Jordan Caroline has repeated as the Mountain West Player of the Week after helping the No. 6 Wolf Pack to a pair of neutral site victories and a 10-0 start to the season.
It is the first time he has earned the award in consecutive weeks, third time this season and is the fifth weekly MW honor of his career.
Caroline was chosen as Basketball Hall of Fame Classic Player of the Game in the Pack’s 72-66 win over No. 20 Arizona State at the at STAPLES Center in Los Angles on Friday. He led the Pack with 16 points and 10 rebounds in the victory.
At the Jerry Colangelo Classic at Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix he was again chosen at the Player of the Game after posting his seventh double-double of the season finishing with game highs of 22 points and 14 rebounds in the 74-66 victory over Grand Canyon.
In the two games he averaged 19 points and 11 rebounds. From the field shot 44 percent, 33.3 percent from behind the arc and 82.4 percent at the free throw line.
Sunday he moved into 13th place on Nevada’s career scoring list with his 1366 points in the Silver & Blue and has 1669 in his college career when you include his 303 at Southern Illinois.
