Buckaroo senior Jimmy Rackley finished third in the 126-pound class and said after his final match.
“That kid was strong; I knew that he was going to be tough," Rackley said "I tried to wrestle smart and get good shots in, take advantage of some easy points. Every point made the difference; I won that match by one point in overtime. “I like the challenge of wrestling, you can not make an excuse about someone else making you lose. It is just you and the other person on the mat. When you win, it is great to know that you were better than the other person that day.”
The outstanding wrestler awards for the meet were given to Nickolas Foster from Spanish Springs in the lower weight class (under 145 pounds) and Sparks’ Tyler Green in the upper weight class (152-285). Foster and Green both won their weight classes.
