James Joseph Webb, 83, of Winnemucca, NV died on December 3, 2018 at Humboldt General Hospital in Winnemucca, NV.
James was born on June 23, 1935 in Casper, Wyoming to Whyde and Dorothy Cristler Webb. He married Lorraine Webb they later divorced. Before making his home in Winnemucca, NV he lived in Riverton, WY, San Diego, CA and Hawaii. James served his country proudly in The United States Navy from 1955 to 1959.
During his life he worked at Lucky Mac Uranium, was the General Foreman of Lone Tree Mine and the former owner of Electric Beach. James was an active member of Saint Margaret’s Catholic Church and Saint Paul’s Catholic Church. He was a proud member of the Elks, Eagles VFW and Women in Mining. He enjoyed golfing, rodeos and absolutely loved Lowry Athletics.
James is survived by his children Jamie (Troy) Giddings of Riverton, WY, Uelly Webb of Riverton, WY, Marcel (Marty) Johnson of Winnemucca, NV, and Justin (Flo) Webb of Riverton, WY. His grandchildren Jorden Giddings, Hattie Calvert, Kaitlin Calvert, Sadie Posey, Lynnsey Johnson, Taylor Johnson, Jennae Johnson, Mardi Johnson, Xavier Webb and Nancy Webb; in addition to numerous other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his ex-wife Lorraine Webb; his parents Whyde and Dorothy Webb; son Reg Webb; grandson Brandon Giddings and his brother Jerry Webb.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Lowry High School Jim Webb Memorial at The Johnson Family 3450 Moon Lane, Winnemucca, NV 89445.
The family would like to thank Harmony Manor, Quail Corner, Golden Valley Medical Center and Rehab Services of Nevada for all their care and support.
Services for Jim will be Rosary on December 9, 2018 at 7:00 pm at Davis funeral Home in Riverton, WY.
Funeral Mass will be held on December 10, 2018 at Saint Margaret’s Catholic Church at 2:00pm with burial to follow at the Mountain View Cemetery in Riverton, WY.
A Celebration of Jim’s Life will be held on December 20, 2018 at Saint Paul’s Catholic Church in Winnemucca, NV with a reception to follow in the basement of the church.
