The Battle Mountain High School girls soccer team started its season this past weekend in Spring Creek with a pair of matches.
The Lady Longhorns dropped their first match 4-0 to Spring Creek and their second, 10-0, to White Pine.
Battle Mountain is back in action this weekend with a road trip to Ely for the two-day White Pine tournament.
Battle Mountain begins league play at home against Yerington on Friday, Sept. 7, at noon. The Lady Longhorns are back home on Saturday, Sept, 8, to play Fernley at 11 a.m.
