Randall Scott “Whitie” Shelton passed away Thursday, August 6, 2018 at home in Battle Mountain just seven days shy of his 63rd birthday. He was born August 16, 1955 in Oakland, Ca. to Lawrence and Betty Shelton.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his step-father, Rodney E. Hensen.
He is survived by his brothers Layne (Niki) of Truckee, Ca., Mark (Anne) of Battle Mountain and Bruce of Brentwood, Ca. and his sister, Leslie Turner of Battle Mountain.
He is also survived by his four sons, Randy of San Francisco, Ca., Casey of Santa Cruz, Ca., Aaron (Maggie) of Walnut Creek, Ca. And Trevor (Cheyene) of Lincoln, Ca.
His grandchildren, Guy Ponicsan, Isabella Lazzarine, Lucas and Ava Wiley, and Kyleigh, Eli and Joshua Shelton. Fifteen nieces and nephews and the love of his life, Penny MacKenzie aka Miss P.
“Whitie” spent his entire working life as a carpenter and retired many years ago and settled in Santa Cruz, Ca.
A memorial service will be held in the near future in his beloved Santa Cruz. He will be missed by his family and all his friends.
