Lynda Walton took home the title as the overall low gross winner in the two-week Ladies Championship Golf Club Tournament at the Winnemucca Municipal Golf Course. Walton shot a 191, tying and then winning a playoff against Gail Piquet. Terri Kracaw came in third (193).
Della Domingo won the second flight low gross level by carding a 207, and Linda Dufurrena came in second (212).
Kracaw had the fewest putts on 8-14 (28), and Carole Doughty claimed the fewest putts on 8-21 (26).
Kracaw had the only chip-in of the tournament
On 8-14 Piquet was closest to the hole on No. 2 at 8 feet 22 inches, while Dufurrena was closest to the pin on No. 5 landing just 3-4 away.
Aug. 21, saw Walton hit her shot on hole No. 2 only 29-5 away from the cup,
Celio came up just 3-1 away on No. 5 on the final day of the tournament.
