It is almost time for the girls at Winnemucca Junior High School (WJHS) to hit the hardwood again.
WJHS is having open gym sessions for the seventh and eighth-grader basketball teams on Aug. 9, 13 and 14.
The open gym will be held from 8 a.m.-10 a.m. each day and no physical examination is required for these sessions.
However, all players are required to have a physical examination on file at the school prior to the tryouts.
The eighth grade girls will meet in the WJHS gymnasium for both the open gym and tryouts, while the seventh graders will be in the WJHS cafeteria.
Tryouts will take place Thursday, Aug. 16, and Friday, Aug. 17, from 8 a.m.-10 a.m. The practice schedule will be available after tryouts are completed. School starts Monday, Aug. 27.
