Josephine Louise Lowe

On Saturday August 4, 2018, Josephine Louise Lowe, a wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, great-aunt, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully.
Josephine was preceded in death by her husband James Lowe, her parents Marie and Johnny Ugaldea, her brother Larry Ugaldea, and her daughter Jamie Nachiondo.
Josephine was survived by her daughters Lisa (Terry) Baker and Toni (Mike) Murphy, son-in-law John Nachiondo, sisters Linda Dunaway and Joan (Larry) Robinson, grandchildren Jennifer (Matt) Obieta, Jeremy (Serena) Nachiondo, Jared Nachiondo, Cody (Chloe) Cannon, Mitch Cannon, Shawn (Charlie) Murphy, Turrell (Whitney) Jensen, Dillon Patterson, nephews Jason (Natasha) Dunaway, Michael (Janine) Robinson, nieces Denise (Richard) Evans, Chelle Robinson, great-grandchildren Emmett Cannon, Paisley and Oliver Cannon, Nerea and Josani Obieta, and Ariya Nachiondo, her beloved pets, and many other relatives and friends.
Early in life, Josephine met the love of her life, James Douglas Lowe, while James was serving in the United States Air Force in Winnemucca, Nevada.
Not long after meeting James and falling in love, they got married on March 25th 1960, creating a family of three girls, Toni, Jamie, and Lisa, shortly after.
Josephine then spent the next 40 years working for Humboldt General Hospital in Data Entry, while raising her family in her life-long home, retiring on August 21, 2008.
After retiring, Josephine spent many hours with family and friends, relaxing, and showing endless love to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and cats.
Josephine was known for her infinite love and care, fun personality, devotion to her family, and her selflessness.
Josephine will be extremely missed and the memories everyone has with her will forever be cherished.
The family would like to thank everyone for all of the support shown and a very special thank you to Guiding Light Hospice for the long months of care.
The family will be hosting a celebration of life at Ormachea’s Basque House on Saturday September 1st 2018 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to share the memories with Josephine in community.
