Kevin D. Hansen
June 1, 1951 – July 24, 2018
Kevin was born to Delmar and Gladys Hansen in Aberdeen, S.D. He grew on the family farm in Columbia, S.D. Kevin was the oldest of nine brothers and sisters.
Early on he knew the meaning of hard work and responsibility. He graduated from Groton High School in 1969 and left the farm life to head off to the Black Hills and begin his mining career in Lead at Home Stake Mine for the better of twenty-two years.
His mining career is what lead him to Nevada where he met the love of his life Patti Carter. Together they enjoyed camping, music, laugher, friends and riding motorcycles.
Kevin’s life was taken too soon doing what he loved, riding his Harley. Kevin was a member of the Wild Bunch Motorcycle Club, former President and loyal brother for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Kent and Kristi Hansen. He is survived by his soul mate Patti Carter, children Jennifer Castaneda, Eric Hansen and Family, Annie Hansen and family, granddaughter Aubriele Castaneda, brothers Clyde, Kerry and Kirk Hansen, sisters, Kim Nieman, Carla Treadway and Kaelyn Hansen and his many friends.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. on the Left Hall lawn at the Winnemucca Convention Center, followed by Celebration of Life in the upper level of the East Hall Convention Center.
