Herbert Wallace “Wally” Trapnell passed away July 19, 2018 in Reno, NV. Born September 26, 1937 in Hawaii to Frederick Trapnell and Alice Moffitt Trapnell, both deceased.
Wally taught at Dunsmuir High School his entire career; his support, guidance and commitment to his students even after they graduated was notable.
After retirement, he divided his time living near Trinity Center, CA and Austin, NV, eventually settling in Reno, NV. Wally was a founding member of the Austin Historical Society (NV) with whom he entrusted his beloved Stokes Castle. He is survived by a half-brother, Frederick Trapnell, Jr., and numerous nephews, nieces, and long-time friends.
