Larry G. Russell of Buena Vista passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018, at his home in Buena Vista.
Larry was born August 18, 1940, in Pueblo to Lawrence and Helen (White) Russell. Larry and his wife, Patty, have lived in Buena Vista since 1966.
He loved to fish, hunt, dance and watch the Denver Broncos and CU Buffs. He also really enjoyed the many cruises he and Patty went on.
He loved spending time with his family going to coffee with his retired miner friends from Climax. He was a member of Trout Unlimited and a 27 year cancer survivor.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Patty of Buena Vista, son Larry (Zee) Russell of Rifle and daughter Peggy(Jeff) Nyberg of Pueblo; sister Barbara (Pat) Kelley of Roy, Utah;grandchildren Cassie(Chris) Gallina of Pueblo, Jennifer (Scott) Law of Highlands Ranch, Landon Russell of Rifle and Tanner Russell of Meeker; great grandchildren Rylee and Raegan Gallina, Addison, Brookelle and Camille Law and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial services were held on Friday, March 16, at ClearView Community Church.
Friends who desire may make memorial contributions to either the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association through Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home.
