The Humboldt County Rodeo Club made its way to Fallon on April 7-8 and had to deal with rainy and muddy conditions left from Mother Nature.
Cade Bell led the way for Humboldt County boys and was the average winner in steer wrestling with a time of 13.660 seconds. Bell was third in the first go-around and won the second go-around in a time of 5.25.
His older brother, Quint Bell, was fourth in the steer wrestling average at 26.770. The elder Bell placed fourth in the first go-around with a time of 21.420 and was second in the final go-around at 5.35.
Quint Bell placed fourth in the tie-down roping average at 33.600.
He placed fourth in the first go with a time of 21.840 and was third in the second go-around in a time of 11.760. Cade Bell finished fifth in the tie-down roping average at 53.460. He had runs of 28.090 and 25.370.
The brother duo were second in the team roping average with a time of 14.940. They were second in both go-arounds at 6.90 and 8.04.
Quint Bell was third in the boys cutting average with 135 points. He won the second go-around with 72 points. Cade Bell was fifth in the cutting average with 134 points.
On the girls side, Julianne Montero took home the goat tying average title at 16.810 seconds. The Lowry junior was fourth in the first go-around with a time of 8.630 and she improved to the top spot in the second go-around and stopped the clock at 8.180.
Montero was 15th in the barrel racing average at 39.970. She knocked down a barrel in the first go-around for a time of 22.782 and she improved to sixth in the second go-around with a time of 17.188.
Megan Miller posted a fourth-place finish in the barrel racing average at 35.079. After her first run of 18.040, Miller placed fourth in the second go-around with a time of 17.039.
Miller was fifth in the pole bending average at 45.155. She had times of 22.874 and 22.165. Both runs put her in the top-10 in each performance.
Kerstin Christiansen placed sixth in the pole bending average with a time of 45.278. She was sixth in the first go-around at 22.768 and had a time of 22.510 in the second performance.
Marie Curtis finished 19th in the barrel racing average at 36.257, which included a 10th-place outing in the second performance at 17.390.
Frankie Baumerister was 13th in the breakaway average with a time of 7.910. Annabelle Grasmick finished 15th in the pole bending average at 49.077.
Bailey Reynolds was 20th in the breakaway roping average and Danyelle Draper was 23rd. In addition, Draper was 10th in reined cow horse with 253 points. She placed ninth in the first performance with 136 points.
Humboldt County begins a stretch of four consecutive weekends with rodeos, beginning this Saturday and Sunday in Washoe County.
