The seventh annual Winnemucca Balloon Festival promises to let your dreams take flight. All of the festival will take place at the Winnemucca Sports Complex, located on Fountain Way and Barter Way, behind Burger King and Les Schwab Tires.
This event begins Friday, May 18 with the “Glow Show,” and a pilot meet and greet. This is a great chance to see the balloons up close, take photos and enjoy the beautiful display of balloons backlit by the sunset.
On Saturday and Sunday, gates open at 5 a.m., with balloon launches set for 6 a.m. each day, weather permitting. The festival closes at 9:30 a.m. each day.
