Jeffrey Arnold Nimmick pleaded guilty to DUI. As the result of plea negotiation, the Humboldt County DA’s Office agreed to dismiss two additional counts – expired registration and having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. Nimmick was sentenced to 90 days in jail with 88 days stayed for a period of two years on condition he serve two days, and he was given credit for time served. He was fined $400 + $125 administrative assessment + $60 forensic fee + $100 special DUI fee. Nimmick was ordered to complete DUI School and to attend a Victim Impact Panel. He was ordered not to consume or possess alcohol, no controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician. No further criminal activity other than minor traffic violations.

Ramiro Gutierrez pleaded guilty to an amended charge of domestic battery. Gutierrez was originally charged with domestic battery with a deadly weapon. The charge was amended in plea negotiation with the Humboldt County DA’s Office. Gutierrez was fined $200 + $105 administrative assessment, $35 special assessment. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail with 28 days stayed for a period of two years. He was given credit for two days jail time already served and ordered to complete 48 hours of community service by May 29. Gutierrez was ordered to complete 26 sessions of batterers intervention counseling, with monthly reports to the court. The defendant signed the order to surrender firearms and was ordered not to consume or possess alcohol. He is to have no controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician. No further criminal activities other than minor traffic violations. He was admonished that possession, shipment, transportation or receipt of a firearm or ammunition may constitute a felony.



Ross Allen Poindexter pleaded guilty to unlawful trespass upon land. He was fined $100 + $95 administrative assessment. He was given credit for time served and released.



Cristian Alejandro Gonzales, originally charged with felony possession of a controlled substance pleaded guilty to an amended charge of possession of a drug which may not be introduced into interstate commerce. The Humboldt County DA’s Office also agreed to dismiss additional charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while driver’s license was cancelled, suspended or revoked and resisting a public officer. Gonzales was sentenced to 160 days in jail and given credit for 18 days already served.
