Obituary: Claralyn Kay Jensen

Claralyn “Kay” Johnson Jensen of Winnemucca, Nevada, and formerly of Burley, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday, April 1, 2018. Kay was 65 years old. 

She was born October 1, 1952, in Moberly, Missouri, the daughter of Oscar Benjamin and Evelyn Pauline O’Bryan Johnson. Kay is survived by her husband, Jim Jensen, of Winnemucca, Nevada; one son, Kelton Jensen and his wife, Dani; two grandchildren, Kaydence Ann and Griffin James of Belgrade, Montana; two brothers, Oscar (Donita) Johnson and Steven Johnson both of Burley, Idaho; two sisters, Paula (Lynn) Watterson and Danalynn (Tim) Hull also of Burley, Idaho; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her friends were her extended family; she made and kept several lasting friendships.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents; a great-nephew, Ryker Dane Hull; and a great-niece, Lillian Mae Jensen.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 5, at Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St., in Burley. A visitation was held at the funeral home from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m. preceding the funeral service. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in Burley.
