Elizabeth Gwendolyn Crawford, age 39, passed away on Tuesday March 27, 2018, in Winnemucca.
Tragically, she was taken from us in the blink of an eye, without any care for what she meant to those who loved, easily, all she touched. We lost a beautiful person, wife, mother, grandmother and friend… always smiling, laughing and helping others.
“Liz” was born in Fremont, California on April 8, 1978 to Laura Blain. She married Travis D. Crawford on June 10, 1998, in Winnemucca and was a good and loving mother to the five children born Later.
Although she lived in Fremont and Oakland, California Liz spent most of her life in Winnemucca. Taking care of and bragging about her children were among her favorite activities. She loved listening to music and enjoyed her interaction with people in a variety of jobs around town including Winners Casino and Pizza Hut.
Survivors include her devoted husband Travis D. Crawford and five children: Tyler M. Crawford, Travis L. Crawford, Shanie M. Crawford, Sasha M. Crawford and Trevor D. Crawford; also, her grandmother Dorothy Blain, sisters Jessica McCuan and Michelle Barnett and granddaughter Charlotte Rae Crawford.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her mother Laura Buttram and her grandfather Lorne Blain.
A memorial fund, “Elizabeth G. Crawford Memorial Fund” at Go Fund Me.com has been set up to assist the family.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Noon on Sunday, April 8 at Winners Hotel and Casino Banquet Room.
The family would like to express appreciation to Winnemucca Law Enforcement for their efforts in the ongoing investigation and all those in the community who have expressed love and concern.
