The McDermitt High School volleyball team collected a win in the Eastern 1A on Friday, Sept. 29, with a three-set victory at Wells.
The Lady Bulldogs claimed the first set in extra time, winning 26-24. McDermitt had an easier time in the second set, winning 25-18.
The Lady Bulldogs completed the sweep, winning the third set 25-22.
McDermitt is back home on Saturday to play Wells at 3 p.m. It is Homecoming for the Lady Bulldogs.
McDermitt football wins by forfeit
The McDermitt football team was scheduled to play in Owyhee last Saturday, but the game was canceled.
The Braves could not field a team and the Bulldogs won by forfeit to move to 1-1 on the season.
McDermitt lost 42-14 to Pyrmaid Lake on Sept. 8.
The Bulldogs make their home debut and celebrate Homecoming on Saturday against Wells at 11 a.m.
Wells is 1-3 for the season with losses to Pahranagat Valley, Eureka and Valley (Hazelton, Idaho).
