Sept. 15
Daren Chavez Briones pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of obstructing a public officer. He was fined $1,000 + $140 AA. Fines and fees were converted to 11 days already served in jail.
Jeremiah Mitchell Day pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of rural speeding. He was fined $25 + $50 AA.
Anthony James Linn pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of DUI-2. An additional charge of speeding was dismissed. On the DUI-2 charge, Linn was sentenced to 60 days in jail with 50 days stayed for two years on condition he serve 10 days. He was given credit for five days jail time already served. In the alternative to serving the remaining five days, Linn may receive credit for time in an inpatient facility. He was fined $750 + $140 AA + $60 forensic fee + $100 Special DUI Fee. Defendant is to pay $50 a month or, in the alternative, he is to be allowed to perform 5 hours of community service monthly. DUI School is to run concurrent with a separate DUI conviction. His order to have a breath interlock device installed on any vehicle he drives was extended from 12 months to 18 months. He was ordered to complete a level two residential treatment program, followed by level one outpatient treatment in a transitional living environment for a minimum of three to six months. No alcohol, no controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician. No further criminal activity other than minor traffic violations.
Sept. 19
Braulio Chavez-Zamudio pleaded no contest to speeding 1-10 miles over the limit. He was fined $50 + $65 AA.
Steven Michael Davidson Jr. pleaded no contest to an amended charge of reckless driving. His original charges were DUI-1 and speeding. After hearing recommendations from defense and prosecution, the judge fined Davidson $250 + $105 AA. He was also ordered to attend and complete a victim impact panel and provide proof to the court.
