Buckaroo JV improves to 2-0

For the second week in a row, the Lowry High School junior varsity football team turned in an impressive performance.

The Buckaroos made their home debut this past Thursday at Jerry Tobin Field and came away with a 37-0 win over Churchill County to improve to 2-0 on the season.

Lowry claimed a 6-0 lead with 45 seconds left in the first quarter on a 9-yard run by Jordan Parker.

The Buckaroos extended the margin to 22-0 at halftime on a 15-yard run by Cole Jones and a 1-yard scamper by Chance Huitt.

Lowry scored midway through the third quarter on a 3-yard run by Michael Yarnell and the Buckaroos closed out the scoring four minutes into the fourth quarter on Parker's second touchdown of the night.

His second touchdown run was from eight yards out.

Lowry looks to remain undefeated when it travels to Elko on Thursday night for a 5 p.m. kickoff with the Indians.
