After fighting through a tough season, the Battle Mountain High School volleyball team collected its first Northern 2A victory of the season on Friday night in Battle Mountain.
The Lady Longhorns knocked off Silver Stage 25-13, 25-15, 14-25 and 25-18 to avenge an earlier loss to the Nighthawks.
Battle Mountain had 19 kills on the night, with Marissa Rogers leading the way with six. Isabella DeAllah added five kills and Marbella Dias had four kills. Dias also had a team-high five aces.
DeAllah and Drue Domagala had 11 and eight assists, respectively, and Sarahi Jimenez had a team-high nine digs. Hania Amezcua added eight digs.

Battle Mountain closed out Homecoming on Saturday afternoon against Yerington. The Lions, the 2A state runner-up from last year, beat the Lady Longhorns 25-14, 25-18 and 25-11 in straight sets.
Uliana Willingham, Rogers and DeAllah each had two kills for Battle Mountain. DeAllah and Domagala had six and three assists, respectively, and Dias had two blocks. Amezcua led the way with five digs and Jimenez added four digs.
Battle Mountain travels to West Wendover on Friday and White Pine on Saturday.
