Sept. 21
Christopher Shiloh Sullivan pleaded no contest to a speeding charge. He was fined $110 + $75 AA + $100 late for + $100 warrant fee. The total $405 amount of fines and fees was suspended for six months on condition no further like violations. His license suspension was cleared.
Sept. 27
Joaquin Rodriguez was sentenced on charges of expiration of registration and driving without a valid driver’s license. An additional charge of no proof of insurance was dismissed upon proof of insurance. He was fined $50 + $65 AA for expired registration, and $100 + $95 AA on the charge of driving without a license. The judge also imposed a $200 late fee and warrant fee. Defendant was given $400 credit for four days jail time already served.
Jatender Singh was sentenced on a charge of failure to obey traffic control device. He was fined $100 + $95 AA. An additional charge of failure to yield the right of way on a left turn was dismissed pursuant to negotiations.
Nicholas Paul Spencer pleaded no contest to a charge of unauthorized or prohibited conduct by or with a prisoner. He was fined $500 + $140AA. He was given $600 credit for 6 days jail time served.
Sept. 27
Salvador Rosales was sentenced on an amended citation for speeding 1-10 miles over the limit. He was fined $100 + $95 AA.
Charges against Wandalin Klein for having a vicious animal and dog at large were dismissed on a motion by the Humboldt County DA’s Office as the defendant had complied with conditions agreed upon.
Travis James Sadler pleaded guilty to an amended charge of driving without a valid driver’s license. The original charge was driving with license that had been canceled suspended or revoked. He was fined $100 + $95 AA.
Sept. 28
Brandon Loken Powell pleaded guilty to domestic battery. He was fined $200 + $105 AA + $35 special assessment. The total of $340 in fines and fees were converted to four days jail and credit was given for time already served. In addition, he was sentenced to 30 days in jail with 28 days stayed for two years provided he has no further criminal activity. The remaining two days jail sentence and 48 hours of community service were converted to jail time already served. The defendant is to attend 26 sessions of batterers intervention counseling with monthly reports to the court. No alcohol, no controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician. Defendant admonished that possession, shipment, transportation or receipt of a firearm or ammunition may constitute a felony. All parties agreed to have the revious no contact order with the victim lifted.
Mandilee Ann Holm pleaded guilty to an amended charge of possession of a drug not to be introduced into interstate commerce, a misdemeanor. The original charge was felony possession of a controlled substance. She was fined $1,000 + $140AA. She was given credit of $250 for 2.5 days jail time already served. The balance of $890 was converted to 89 hours of community service.
At a bench trial, Justin Christopher Alger was found not guilty of domestic battery, second offense. The matter was discharged.
Sept. 29
Sandra Ray Boyer pleaded guilty to an amended charge of rural speeding. The original charge was speeding 11-20 miles over the limit. Boyer pleaded guilty to the amended charge and was fined $200 + $105 AA.
Sylyain Philippe Romain pleaded guilty to an amended charge of speeding 1-10 miles over the limit. The original charge was speeding 21-30 miles over the limit. Romain was fined $100 + $95AA
Oct. 3
Jeffrey Lewis Anderson pleaded guilty to an amended charge of reckless driving, after negotiation with the Humboldt County DA’s Office. Original charges were DUI and speeding. He was fined $400 + $125AA. He was also ordered to complete DUI School level one and a Victim Impact Panel.
Stephanie Ann Kucharek pleaded guilty to DUI. She was sentenced to 30 days in jail with 28 days stayed for 2 years. She was given credit for 12 hours already served in jail. The additional 36 hours jail time may be exchanged for 36 hours of community service. She was fined $400 + $125 AA + $60 forensic fee + $100 Special DUI fee. Dui School and Victim Impact Panel ordered. Defendant ordered to follow the recommendations of her alcohol evaluation. She must have a breath interlock device installed in any vehicle she drives for a period of 12 months. No alcohol, no controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician. No further criminal activity other than minor traffic violations. An additional charge of failure to obey traffic control device was dismissed on a motions by the Humboldt County DA’s Office.
