The Lowry High School freshmen boys basketball team held off Reno this past Saturday afternoon to beat the Huskies 46-37 in the season opener for both squads. The Buckaroos jumped out to an early lead and never looked back after the quick start. Lowry is back in action Thursday with a road trip to Carson City for a 3 p.m. tip off with the Northern 4A Senators. The Buckaroos will be back home to host South Tahoe on Saturday, Dec. 9.
