Lowry's Gudino, Irons named to Northern 3A all-league teams

Lowry High School’s Diego Gudino and Dalton Irons were selected to the Northern 3A all-league soccer teams by the league’s coaches.

Gudino was picked to the second team as a defender, while Irons was an honorable mention choice at defender as well.

North Tahoe’s Juan Pablo Herrera and Beto Alcaraz were named the Player of the Year and Coach of the Year, respectively.

The first team includes seven North Tahoe players in Herrera, Andres Cerda, Benito Gonzalez, Michael Callejas, Ted Gibaut, Koby Mattson and Nolan Spencer. Truckee’s Joel Garcia and Aloi Lopez joined the first team, as did Spring Creek’s Mason Dixon and Sparks’ Bernardo Simental and Bryan Munoz.

The second team featured South Tahoe’s Armando Rosalles and Oscar Marzocco, Truckee’s Carlos Rivera, Jesse Sanchez and Patrick Sullivan, Spring Creek’s Ryan Miner and Samuel Claridge, Incline’s Alexis Ramos, Churchill County’s Cesar Molina and Sparks’ Cesra Hernandez.

The honorable mention team included Elko’s Kevin Villegas and Natnael Meles, Incline’s Mario Ponte and Bryan Fraquso, Sparks’ Giovanni Lopez and David Gonzalez, Churchill County’s Bryan Ugalde, Truckee’s Toni Oregel and South Tahoe’s Isaac Sanchez and Brandon Estrada.

The all-state first team featured Garcia, Herrera, Callejas, Munoz, Dixon, Lopez, Mattson and Raul Ruiz (West Wendover).

The second team included Cerda, Gonzalez, Gibaut, Spencer, Simental, Sebastain Contreras (Fernley), Marco Torres (Dayton) and Pedro Maldonado (Yerington).
