FALLON — For the first time since 2006, the Lowry High School volleyball is headed to the NIAA State Championships.
The Lady Bucks punched their ticket to Las Vegas with semifinal win over Fernley on Saturday afternoon at the Northern 3A Regional Championships in Fallon.
The Lady Bucks beat the Vaqueros 25-18, 25-21, 25-21.
After a short break, Lowry was back on the floor for the regional championship against Truckee.
The Lady Bucks outlasted the Wolverines 27-25, 25-21, 20-25, 16-25 and 15-4 to claim the Northern 3A title.
Lowry plays Moapa Valley on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Faith Lutheran High School in Las Vegas.
Boulder City and Truckee play the other semifinal at 5:40 p..m
