The Nevada State High School Finals Rodeo rolled into Winnemucca this past weekend with cowboys and cowgirls representing all parts of the state, looking to advance to the Silver State International Rodeo and the National High School Finals Rodeo.
The final performance of the rodeo took place Monday morning, which included the top 15 in each event. The top four finishers in each event in the final point standings qualify for the national finals in Gillette, Wyo., from July 16-22. The Silver State International Rodeo takes place in Winnemucca from July 3-8, which takes the fifth through 15th-place finishers.
