The local offices of the US Forest Service, BLM, and NDOW along with the Wilson Family are hosting the 24th annual Humboldt County Kids Fishing Day from 8 a.m.-noon on June 10, at the Wilson’s Andorno Ranch Pond.
Community youngsters ages 5-13 are invited to come with their fishing poles, tackle boxes and bait out to the pond, located 34 miles north of Winnemucca off US Highway 95, for an exciting, fun-filled day of fishing. The event coincides with Nevada Free Fishing Day, so no fishing license is required.
Every child fishing at the derby will receive a free goodie bag full of fun stuff. In addition, to free fishing, the day will feature prize drawings and the popular casting contest. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The hosts and sponsors have a strong commitment to the community’s youth and are proud to host a memorable day of fishing for the kids and their families.
Thanks to the hospitality of the Wilson family, kids and their families have an opportunity to spend some quality time outdoors enjoying a fun day of fishing.
