Battery charges against Kevin Anthony Barner Junior were dismissed without prejudice on a one-time dismissal motion by the DA’s office.

Jorge Amado Gomez-Carrillo pleaded guilty to DUI-2, no valid driver’s license, and having an open container of alcohol in his vehicle. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail on the DUI-2 charge, with 50 days stayed for 2 years on condition he serve 10 days. He received credit for 3 days already served. He was fined $750 + $140AA + $60 forensic fee + $100 special DUI fee. The defendant was ordered to complete DUI School and Victim Impact Panel. He was ordered to have a breath interlock device for a period of 12 months. Defendant was ordered to no alcohol, no controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician. No further criminal activity other than minor traffic violations. An additional charge of driving on the right side of the road — to which Gomez-Carillo had pleaded not guilty — was dismissed. Fines for the other charges were to run concurrent to the DUI-2 fines.
