May 3

Carl Ray Odoms pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle while license is canceled, suspended or revoked. In negotiations, the DA’s office agreed to recommend a court fine of $1,000 with no jail time and to dismiss charges in two other cases, the first charging driving while license suspended, fictitious registration and possession of drug paraphernalia — the second charging driving while license canceled, driving on the wrong side of the highway and failure to drive within marked lanes. The judge followed the recommendation, fining Odoms $1,000 + $140 AA with five days in jail having been fulfilled by five days already served.

May 4

After negotiation with the DA’s office, Caison Richard-Marcell Dillon pleaded guilty to an amended offense of possession of a drug not to be introduced into interstate commerce, and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. His original charge was felony possession of a controlled substance. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail with credit for time served.

The DA’s office dismissed felony charges against Jessica Lynn Rogers for possession of a controlled substance. Rogers failed to appear for the court hearing and the DA’s office moved for a one-time dismissal without prejudice, which was granted.

Alma Victoria Gonzalez-Raygoza pleaded no contest to possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding 11-20 miles per hour over the limit. The defendant was fined $100 + $95 AA for the speeding charge and not fined for the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Defendant also charged $100 public defender fee.

May 5

Saul A. Lopez-Ceja pleaded guilty to an amended charged of possession of a drug not to be introduced into interstate commerce and possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors. He was originally charged with felony possession of a controlled substance. Negotiation with the DA’s office resulted in an agreement to plead guilty to the lesser charge. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail with credit for 21 days already served. In a separate case, additional charges of possession of drug paraphernalia against Saul A. Lopez-Ceja were dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office.

William Cooney pleaded guilty to injury or destruction of property. He was fined $500 + $140 AA . The defendant will be allowed to perform community service in lieu of paying the fine.

May 9

Charges against Jacob Clyde Barnes for failure to stop or yield when entering a marked intersection were dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office.

Gustavo Munoz was found guilty of petit larceny. He was fined $1,000 + $140AA. The court suspended $500 for six months on condition the defendant have no further violations of the law. The defendant may substitute community service for payment of fine.

Charges against Victorio Ricardo Jr. for possession of a controlled substance were dismissed on a motion by the DA’s office.
