April 26

Jacob David Martin pleaded guilty to DUI-1. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail with 28 days stayed for one year. Credit for 12 hours already served. The remaining 36 hours may be done as community service. He was fined $40 + $125 AA +$60 Forensic Fee + $100 Special DUI Fee. DUI School and Victim Impact Panel ordered. No alcohol, no controlled substances unless prescribed by a physician. No further criminal activity except minor traffic violations.

Katie Ann Wright pleaded guilty to petit larceny. She was fined $1,000 + $140 AA. The judge suspended payment of $500 for a period of six months on condition she have no further like violations and no problems with the law other than minor traffic violations. Defendant given the option of completing a petit larceny class online. If completed, she will be given credit for double the cost of the class toward her remaining fines.

April 27

Zach Snapp pleaded no contest to a charge of having an open container in a vehicle and the DA’s office agreed to drop an additional charge of driving without a valid driver’s license. He was fined $100 + $95AA on the open container charge.

An additional felony charge in a separate case against Zach Allen Snapp of possession of a controlled substance was dismissed.

In a third case, Zach Allen Snapp pleaded guilty to an amended charge of driving without a valid license. The original charge was driving with a license suspended, canceled or revoked. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail and given credit for 11 days already served.

April 28

Lincoln Jacob Peterson was found guilty of receiving, possessing or withholding stolen property. He was sentenced to time served of 15 days. He was fined $1,000 + $140AA.

May 2

Robert Dunkel pleaded no contest to amended charges of no driver’s license in possession. He was originally charged with driving on a suspended license. A records check showed his driver’s license suspension was not DUI related, so the DA’s office agreed to amend the charge to no driver’s license in possession. An additional charge of no proof of insurance was dismissed upon the defendant’s providing proof of insurance. Dunkel was fined $100 + $95 AA for the driver’s license violation.
