On April 12, 2017 Judy Louthan, 70 years old of Battle Mountain, NV passed away at Highland Manor in Elko, NV after a long battle with Dementia.
Judy was born March 5, 1947 in Chaplin, KY to James and Josephine (Parrish) Holt. She moved to Nevada in 1969 following her sister Betty Jo. Judy married John “Snuffy” Louthan in 1971. After living in numerous towns in Nevada, two years in Washington, they finally settled in Battle Mountain, NV in 1980. Judy was employed at the Owl Club, Echo Bay Minerals, Newmont Gold and finally the Nevada Hotel.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, sisters MargieAnne and Betty Jo. She is survived by her husband, John “Snuffy”; son, Chad (Amy); grandchildren: Nick and Jamie Jo; sister-in-law’s: Bobbie, Gladys (Roy) and Tressa; brother-in-law: Dave (Irma); niece’s: Paige (Steve), Cindy, Teri, Thoras (Joe) and Annie (John); nephew’s: Doug, Scott (Kim), Sean (Val) and Gene; numerous great nieces and nephews as well as extended family.
