Obituary: Bob Cason

Bob Cason, born in Dallas, TX on June 10, 1945 to David and Frances Cason passed away peacefully at his home in Battle Mountain, NV on April 24, 2017.

He married Michele Cruse on March 26, 1965 in Sacramento, CA. They raised their children in Fall River Mills, CA.

He was called to preach in 1983 and served congregations in Arizona and California. He came to Battle Mountain in 1993 and was honored to serve the congregation as Pastor of Fellowship Baptist Mission for 23 years. He was a parts man, store manager and store owner for several NAPA stores for over 50 years. He loved the parts business, fishing, spending time with his family and most of all preaching God’s word.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Michele and his two children Patti Leach (Dale) of Battle Mountain; Michael Cason (Dolly) of Modesto, CA; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; his brother Jesse Cason and his Aunt Jane Bernstein of Sacramento. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends who all agree that Bob made a difference in our world.He was buried in Battle Mountain Cemetery and a memorial service was held on May 1st at his church home.
