Patrick Dodson Carmichael
Jan. 11th 1949 – March 7th 2017
Patrick Dodson Carmichael was born January 11th, 1949 in McCook, Nebraska to Benjamin Carmichael (Father) and Elsie Carmichael (Mother). Patrick passed away due to illness on March 7, 2017 in Bullhead City, Arizona at 68 years old.
Patrick is survived by his best friend and partner – Linda Nelson; Daughter – Danielle Carmichael, his daughter’ s mother and friend – Kati Frydendal and step son - David Pierce, older brother – Mike Carmichael and younger brother Jon Carmichael. Patrick was predeceased by his mother, Elsie Carmichael (Case) and father, Benjamin Carmichael.
Patrick served in the Army from January 23rd 1968 - January 14th 1971. He served as a mail clerk in Germany and received the National Defense Service Medal: Expert (Rifle M-14). He and his family took pride in his service to his country.
Patrick spent most of his adult life as a bartender in many locations including New Orleans, Louisiana, Reno, Nevada, Winnemucca, Nevada and Laughlin, Nevada. He was most recently employed gy long-time associate and friend Nancy Kidwell at the Cal-Nev-Ari Casino in Cal-Nev-Ari Nevada, where he lived for almost 20 years.
Patrick was known for his loyalty, dependability, honesty and sense of humor. He was an exceptional father who provided patience, guidance and unconditioal love to both the daughter and his step son. Patrick was loved by many people and will be clearly missed.
Services were held to honor Patrick’s life at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Friday, March 17th.
