Humboldt County Pets at the Pound

The following animals were recently picked up by animal control. More information on impounded dogs at the Sage Heights shelter is available by calling the shelter at (775) 623-6403 or Sheriff’s Dispatch at (775) 623-6429 and leaving a message, 24 hours a day. When calling, be prepared to provide the dog’s description, license number and general area in which it was lost.



March 14

A male black and white Amstaff was surrendered to shelter.

A male black Lab mix was a surrender to shelter.

A male red and white Border Collie mix was a surrender to shelter.

A male red and white Bassett hound was dropped off at shelter. *Reclaimed

A female black and white Border Collie was picked up on Mount Tobin Place. *Reclaimed

A male white and black Pit mix was picked up on Mount Tobin Place. *Reclaimed

A female red and white Heeler was picked up on Mount Tobin Place. *Reclaimed

A female tan and white Wirehair Pointer was picked up on Placer/Bonanza. *Reclaimed

A male tan and white Pitbull mix was picked up on Grass Valley Rd./Valley Way. *Reclaimed

A male golden Vizsla mix was dropped off at shelter.

A female brown and white Pit/Shepherd mix was surrendered to shelter.

Licensing is a city and county ordinance. Please license your dog. This will help us get him back to you should he become lost.
